Hi, my name is Tracy and I started tracking my food intake on this site about 2 days ago. Amazing how quickly those calories add up once you start tracking it in "writing". I need to lose approximately 50 lbs. This weight loss journey has been a long one and it's time for me to get off the rollercoaster. Hopefully this site will help me on my way! Wish me luck!

Welcome! This site really does have all the tools to help us on this weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey.
I also have about 50lbs to lose and have been struggling with it a bit, but am back on track now.
I wish you the best of luck, and feel friend to add me as a friend if you like.0 -
Welcome! I have been using MFP for about a week and I already feel better and healthier. It is so easy to track your meals and everyone is very supportive. Good luck!!0

Welcome to MFP!! It's such a great place. Two things to keep in mind:1. keep logging in and tracking regardless of how you are doing. It'll keep you honest and make it easier to get back on track if you fall off. 2. Pay more attention to how healthy the foods are versus how many calories. Instead of trying to be perfect try to just make better choices than what you've done before. You'll do great!0

best of luck to you. stay consistent. log your food everyday. it can be an eye opener with certain items. sometimes when I have a craving for something, I look up the calories on MFP first...and the shock helps me overcome the craving. for example, on wednesday, I was having a craving for a double chocolate muffin. I couldn't shake it so I looked up the calories. Once I saw that one muffin was 680 calories, the craving went away.0
