sugar free jello, low fat string cheese, almonds, mini carrots are a few things I like to keep around.
  • Red or Green Grapes
Watermelon (some stores sell 1/4 melon that you can cube up)
    cottage cheese
Dannon Light Non-Fat yogurt (low calories and non-fat)
    Strawberries
    Bananas
    Special K Cereal
    Non-Fat Milk (or 1% or 2%)

I pair up the grapes or watermelon with either cottage cheese or yogurt

I have the cereal with Non-Fat milk and Strawberries or Bananas. I have found that I don't miss the fat in the milk when I am using it for cereal. Cereal is not only for Breakfast I use it as an afternoon snack.

    Happy Shopping!

I always buy thomas thin bagels (breakfast everyday!), fruit (enough that you will eat before it goes bad), sugar free pudding, turkey hill light ice cream, whole wheat tortillas (I usually try to get the lowest calorie ones I can find), whole wheat pasta, raisins, 94% fat free popcorn, lunch meat from the deli for wraps.

Stuff I occasionally buy is salad or spinach, frozen meals/veggies, and some sort of meat. (I say I occasionally buy these because I have very limited fridge space, so I WISH I could buy more frozen veggies and meat, I just don't have the space).

I was a complete carb-aholic, I would literally sit and just eat bread, and I have not bought bread in two months now, I replaced it will whole wheat tortillas to make wraps. I tried the thin bread but it went bad really quickly in my apartment, so I decided to try wraps and really like them!

Pistachios. I love pistachios, but you have to get them in the shell so you have to work for them. Otherwise, you end up eating too many. : ) Also a quick lunch is a BLT lettuce wrap. Just get green leaf lettuce, some turkey bacon, fat free mayo and fresh tomatoes. Spread the mayo on the lettuce add bacon and tomato and roll or fold. It's a BLT without the bread. Check out skinnytaste.com for some healthy recipes too.

I say low fat string cheese, I love Triscuits... they are kind of High in calories, but whole wheat and oh so tasty, apples are easy to carry places with you , high in fiber and a negative calorie. Straberries are great for a snack as well.
I suggest eating fruit in the morning too! Wakes you up WAY better than a cup of coffee, and you can get a couple of servings in for the day.
Snacks sometimes are tough, but you're doing great!

Well... if you know you need more fruit, try getting at least two types, you can pair them with a protein (yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese, or nut butter) for a decent snack/small meal.

Now I wish I had an avocado! They sound so good right now.

I like to buy apples, bananas, and yogurt a lot. I was eating a lot of almonds a few months ago and bought another bag the other day. They don't taste as good to me now. I think I'm almonded out for a while.

I buy chicken a lot too. Made chicken and biscuits yesterday. I'm sure the biscuits aren't that great for you, but at least they weren't processed and preserved right? :)
