When doing drop sets do you lift heavy (lets say 90 lb behind the head tricep workout) then wait 3 min and drop to 60 lbs then wait another 3 min and do last set being 30 lbs? or do you go from 90 lbs then with no break at all drop down to 60 etc? currently im waiting about 3 min before my sets, should i be doing otherwise?

i do drop sets immediately after. or at the most I'll do a 10 second rest.
waiting 3 mintues and recovering, and then lifting light weight isn't really stressing your muscles and getting them to grow.
the point of the drop set is so that you can keep going after your muscle would have failed at the original working set weight.
ex. curls
if you get 75x10 and you're at the point of failing. drop it to 60 and get close to failure. then drop down more and rep till you can't.0 -
I do drop sets immediately after. 10 - 30 seconds rest at most. Don't let your muscles cool off, keep the pressure on them for the entire routine if you want results.0

I agree with stresco and ilovedeadlifts. It is best to minimize your rest period coz its gonna blast your muscles bigtime! :-)0

My rest for drop sets is precisely the amount of time it takes to drop the weight0
