Is there a difference for anyone? I used to be a 22 pants/20 dress and haven't gotten a dress in about ten months and 62 pounds, but I'm a14 pants now!! Is there a dress/pants difference for anyone here?

At my smallest I was a 14pants and 10/12 dress, probably could've worn a 12 pants in some brands. My biggest I was barely fitting in 16pants don't wear dresses so I don't know, but my wedding dress size was 18, however wedding dresses run weird. Now I'm wearing a 14 in pants, still no idea for a dress.0

I am teetering between 8-10 in pants but I am between 10-12 in dress. The difference is cause of the boobs! Dresses have to account for chest sizes as well!0

Dress size and pant size are different because with dresses you have to account for upper body as well as lower body. I would suggest just trying on dresses until you find one that you like, makes you look fabulous and fits like a dream. With out seeing a picture I can't tell which dress type would suit you best.
However a womancan't go wrong with a wrap around or empire waist.0 -

^^^ This!
I'm now wearing pants/skirts in sizes ranging from 4-8 (some 10s with a belt). There is NO WAY you'd fit me into a size 4 dress. No way. Boobs + ribcage = never being a size 4 dress. My dress size is between 6 and 10 depending on the brand.0 -
And I'm just the opposite- SOOOO pear-shaped. At my thinnest, years ago, I was still in a size 10 pants but had dresses and A-line skirts in my closet that were a size 4. As long as it didn't have to fit my thighs, I could wear a much smaller size.
It all depends on body shape.0 -

Ahhh, so very true!I used to be a lot more pear-shaped than I am now. I could do a medium sized top but need large sized pants - or a size 10 dress but a size 12 pants! I think I've ended up losing lots of weight from my hips and bum! Waiting for the rest of me to catch up, hehe.
Body shape affects things a great deal!!0 -
I have a larger dress size than pant size because I have broad shoulders and consequently need to buy bigger size dresses than I would if I were more pear/hourglass shaped.0
