Soreness after lifting / cardio

I get pretty sore frequently. Been lifting for years and it's the same.
Tried doing light cardio. That seems to work but I don't always get the chance.
Tried anti-inflammatories with limited success.
Recently I tried double scooping my On Whey protein to see if it was the lack of protein. I don't think that's helping.
Want to try adding BCAAs during my workouts.(powder mix to water) Has that worked to help soreness and help you recover faster?

I use a glutamine & BCAA blend after lifting. It seems to help with soreness the next day. Don't know if it's placebo effect or not.0

I've been lifting for years as well. I think it is pretty normal to be have at least some soreness afterward. In my mind it tells me that I must be doing something right. Like the old saying, 'No pain, no gain.' I think there is some truth to that. How many times a week are you lifting? If you lift 2-3 times a week regularly I would think that the soreness would be less. I do notice that if I skip a week of lifting, the following week is brutal as far as being sore goes. I'm no expert but I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Good luck to you.0

Heavy lifting 2 days a week. Then combo of cardio / small muscle lifts / plyometrics another 2 days a week. Sometimes 3.
Being sore doesn't really give me a sense of accomplishment anymore. Lifting a heavy weight for more reps or lifting a heavier weight than before does that for me.
Being sore is natural. But I want to try to minimize this as much as realistically possible. ie... if I can take or do something that will speed recovery / reduce soreness, I want to hear it.0 -

The optimum BCAA powder I'm considering has the l-glutamine in it. Thanks0
