OKay, so currently im a student and im broke...Im looking for a job and have applied for a few already. Im living at home with my mum and i just dont feel right trying to ask her for money so that i can get some healthy food. She buys food for the family in general, however she uses alot of oil and deep fries stuff...so when she cooks i cant eat it basically. Ive obviously asked her to use olive oil, if she can but...she clearly wont. lol Apparently she says that i can still loose weight by eating her food. lol But anyways ive had meal replacements pile themselves on top of eachother since last year, and i was wondering if its a good idea for me to use these. I have maxitone which is basically maximuscle, and i have shakeology. I cant add anything to them since my blender has broken down...good times. So i was wondering whether i can use these meal replacements for the time being until i can get some more money together to buy healthy snacks/dinners. I can pretty much make a healthy breakfast and lunch, but not so sure about dinner. I dont want to re gain weight after using them so, im not sure what to do about this.
Thanks for all the replies in advance!

offer to do some of the shopping and cooking.....she gives you a budget and you buy food and cook for the family, could benefit everyone0

You can supplement your day with them quite effectively (say replace breakfast or lunch) but I sure would not use them at every meal. I had to live on weight gain power for a month in college and that was a rough month!! Just look at the calories in them and plan accordingly.
My advice would be to more change the habits of the family by offering to cook a few nights a week. It is hard asking you mom to buy you different food when she is cooking for the whole family but going shopping with her to get the supplies you need for the meal you will cook will probably be welcomed.0
