PINEAPPLE CHEESE BALL

This is one of the best cheese balls I have ever had. The longer you let the flavors meld, the better it tastes.

2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup minced celery
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 cup chopped walnuts

In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, celery, bell pepper, onion, crushed pineapple, sea salt and coriander. Divide the mixture in half and form two balls out of the mixture. Chill for 1 hour. Roll each ball in the walnuts. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Enjoy!

Makes 16 servings. 1/8 of a cheese ball = one serving. Serve with veggies, crackers, pita chips.

In one serving: 147 calories, 11g fat, 10g carbs, 6g sugar, 440mg sodium, and 4g protein.

Have you made this with reduced fat cream cheese and if so did it taste pretty much the same? The pineapple is what caught my eye and makes me think "this is a cheeseball I might enjoy"

Yes, I have made it with all kinds of different cream cheese: regular, reduced fat, and fat free. It tastes the same. This one is with Walmart brand cream, which is to have 1/3 less fat than other regular cream cheese. Enjoy.
