Hi
I just turned 40 and like many of us want to turn my life around to become healthier, feel prettier, be an example to my children. The problem is I get reved up and then stall and fall back into old eating habits. A friend recommended this site and I have been logging in everyday. I seem to go over my 1200 calories but stay under 1500. I hope when I weigh in Monday I will have lost some weight, if not I will need to try again.

Hi,
There's nothing to worry on this. Its just a common thing for many of us here, including me. But, few things when taken care will put you on the right scale.
Most important point to note is, NEVER GO LITERALLY ON THE SCALE. Which means, don't dishearten yourself if you see ups and downs in weight coz, this is a natural process. Its not the only fat that you weigh on the weighing scale, but most of the body consists of water, and so it contributes to major part for the exact weight. Understanding this will feed us positive approach. Am soon going to write a blog on this, since this is very useful for many of us.0 -
You are going to do great here. . the important thing is that you stick with it. . Make sure that you are logging everything. . . and make sure that your activity level is correct. . if you stick to the calories that they suggest for you. . or workout so that you get the right net calories for the day. . you will be losing weight. . the other really important thing is WATER. . make sure that you are getting your 8 glasses a day. wish you the best of luck in your health and fitness journey.0
