ok so what I'm wondering is do people actually view those diaries they comment on or just base their comments on if it's over or under? Personally I'm a snoop and love going through my mfp friends diaries to steal meal ideas or just see how they do it. In all honesty I'm more likely to look if they're also Australian and therefore the brands are familiar to me and more useful . Sometimes though for overseas friends I get lazy and just leave a generic comment . How about everyone else? :)

I love reading. It gives me food ideas and I've gotten a few yummy recipes out of it. I don't really comment on peoples food diaries unless I see something I want to eat.

If I comment it means I looked.

If they are my friends, I give it an honest look. Even if my comment is generic, you can bet that I've still looked through the diaries.

i look occasionally, and razz when appropriate, but often people are "under" their calories but only at pretzels and pizza all day........in which case, i keep my mouth shut
  • I like to look at friends' diaries....inspires me to quit eating such processed crap and actually grab a piece of fresh fruit every once in awhile. Also like to see how they disperse their calories throughout the day (I am notorious for eating most of my calories - like 1000 of them - at dinner). Like to see how others do it.

I typically look at all of them, if I have the time. If I commented, it means I looked.

I read most all my friends diaries I don't comment if I don't read it. To be honest I wouldn't have commented on my own today. If its not good I don't comment, if it is I do, if its horrible for a few days in a week I send a private message. I guess I like accountability and give what I expect in return.

I look at it, when there are too many sweets and not veggies or fruits, I leave a reminder to eat those. When I can't see a diary I usually don't comment.

I do read the often - I just find it interesting and it can give me ideas of what I could be eating as well.

I always read before I comment. I don't tell someone they did a good job just because they stayed under when they drank shakes or ate dressing free salads for 2 meals... That's not living in my opinion....

If I'm going to comment I read the diary. It helps me with ideas and if there's any help that person needs. I've been keeping my friend count down so that I can keep up with everyone. I'm on a forum for people that want to lose 100# and there are so many that my ol' brain won't keep up with to respond to everyone., but it still gives a lot of encouragementand support. I know what you meam by wantingsome aussie friends. Some of our foods and recipes are different. Some of the foodshave different names in each countruy. The killigrams and pounds require some thinking for me.and the different brands that we each have. We may have to get gift packages and send to each other. I just went looking for a spice, garam masala, and it took several stores to find it. It's used in Indian Cooking. and it's so good. It's fun to trade recipes, I brought several back when we were in Korea and Spain.
