Do you have other goals?

Has your weight loss/gain/tone come with other goals and changes in your life?
For me, everything seemed to come at once. I wasn't impressed with my size and lack of fitness, but this came from a general unhappiness with how I was treating myself.
With university and work and other commitments, I think I wanted to do more...So I envisioned this version 2.0 of me.
I wanted to be bigger, stronger and fitter, but I've also taken up the piano and have been working on that.
I've tried to change my attitudes towards other people - be as nice and helpful as possible.
I've tried to be more selfish - do more things just for me.
I want to learn another language - Spanish.

So what I'm getting at, has your weight goals inspired other changes in your life, to better yourself, or change something you didn't like?

This is partially a weight loss goal, since losing weight helps this is as well, but I want to work my self esteem and confidence. I'm already feeling a difference after only 10 lbs, I feel better about myself and the work I am doing. By the time I get to my goal weight I should be a whole new man.

I would like to learn balance in my life, regarding finances and work/home/play schedule.

    This.

My weight loss has come since the break down of a long term relationship which basically made me re-evaluate everything in my life and what I really want. I realised I wanted to:

    - Get back down to the size I was when I was 18, so losing 30-40lbs.
    - Move back to London to complete the third year of my degree to get a BA instead of just an FdA
    - Overcome my fear of flying and travel the world
    - Go to Paris after I finish uni and get work experience whilst becoming fluent in French
    - Spend more time with my friends and be the one to make plans as opposed to waiting for other people
    - Allow myself to put myself first for once, be more selfish

Other than weight loss my goals are to be fitter and work on my upper body strength. I want to learn to speak german. I want to stop putting myself down all the time and be more positive.

I want to elimnate my weight as a factor in any future health issues. I want to be energetic, strong and flexible. I want balance physically, mentally, socially and familially. I want to be proud of myself.

The above are more like broad objectives. I have lots of little milestone goals to get there.
