So restarted MAP a few days ago and my automatic setting for the calorie limit is 1920/day. That's with me choosing the lose 2lbs a week option. I am wanting to lose around 3-4 lbs a week so what should I set my calorie count at? Also how important is the nutrition cause even though I stay under my calories I go way over on sodium. Thanks in advance for help

Too much sodium can make the body retain water. Personally I wouldn't go over 2lbs a week. Better chance at keeping weight off when you lose it at a slower pace.

3-4 pounds a week is not realistic, that's why it's not an option on MFP.

More than 2 lbs a week starts to get dangerous and can mask serious medical problems as well. The 2lb limit is something you should stick to, slow and steady wins the race.

Increased sodium in addition to causing you to keep water weight, will also make you hypertensive (high blood pressure) which is not healthy for the heart.
  • I see. Thanks guys, ill find foods lower in sodium and stick to my current calorie limit.
