. . . Oh! And those claymation-y Christmas Cartoons (all of them)!

You just reminded me of one of my all times favorites, which I haven't seen in years since they don't air it anymore, it was a claymation cartoon - The California Raisins (OK I'm dating myself). That had some of the best music in it. I was able to find a CD of the soundtrack. Love it!

i watch it every year on dvd ( came with claymation eastr and halloween also :D , but i agree with the silly dinos and the singing lol

THE CHRISTMAS LIST One of those Lifetime movies with Mimi Rogers. She puts a list in the 'santa mailbox' at work, and everything starts coming hilariously true for her.
  • Rudolph is my ALL TIME FAV! However I must say I do like Home Alone esp the first one...Joe Pesci is hilarious!!

That's my favorite too. I will watch all the sappy ones in December. But hey! It's Halloween now and Bad Santa gets my vote. I about pee myself laughing.
  • A Christmas Story
    National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Miracle on 34th Street (original with Natalie Wood)
    Polar Express

"A Christmas Carol" is in its own category. I've seen good versions, and not-so-good versions. The one with Patrick Stewart was well-done, as was a slightly older one with George C. Scott. I haven't seen the animated one with Jim Carey yet, not a big Carey fan. The 1938 version with Reginald Owen is probably still my sentimental favorite. The 1970 film adaptation of the musical "Scrooge" with Albert Finney is right up there as well (love the songs!)

Well, I was sticking strictly to movies, but the 1964 Rankin/Bass Rudolph special holds pride of place as my personal favorite bit of Christmas entertainment.
