Anyone else click on that add to the right for BreatheSlim?

"Are you tired of the drudgery and guilt of dieting? Imagine your excess weight fading away by simply learning to breathe better!"

I doubt it.

It's sad that some companies prey on people who are trying to lose weight. Everyone wants to be able to lose without having to change or do the work. Unfortunately that's not the way it works. Here's one of my favorite motivation quotes.

"The only time Success comes before Work is in the dictionary"

    Ain't it the truth.

I guess it couldn't hurt to add it to my repertoire, but I don't think I will rely on just this theory! Thanks for sharing.
  • omg just searched that... totally thought this was a joke xD

Breathing correctly is important in exercise and sports competitions, but to lose weight? Maybe in the sense that you can "meditate" and help lower stress, but this BS that breathing is all you need to do to lose weight will appeal to those that don't WANT to exercise/or can't exercise.

If it sounds too good to be true, I'm going to go ahead and say....it is too good to be true.
  • I Def just googled it! I'm not paying $60! for a thing you stick up to your nose. LoL. I think I'll just concentrate on breathing deeply more often. :p

Doing that whole 'concentrating on deep breathing' works excellent when paired up with actual exercise. So I hear.

No no, guys guys, I think this is totally true...because when I exercise, I breathe more often, and when I exercise, I lose weight! And we all know that correlation means causation! SCIENCE!

It's totally legit. It's easier to lose weight while alive.

I tried something like this about 15 years ago...I can't remember the name of the program but it was mostly about breathing deeply, exhaling deeply, then trying to hold out as long as you can before you inhaled again. No devices or tools needed. Didn't do me any harm but didn't show drastic results either. I wouldn't spend money on it or anything similar, IMO.

This thread has summoned the ad in the sidebar for me. Dun dun dunnnn...

Google shows a bunch of obviously fake reviews for it. The lengths to which people will go for a buck...sad.

OMG...Do you mean that's ALL it takes? Breathing? For real?

I wish I'd got that memo years ago. Late to every bandwagon as usual.

Have just read the details on the website. It only claims to be a metabolism booster. By breathing in oxygen and breathing correctly (From the diaphram) you will balance the body and improve posture which will settle your metabolic rate. So there is some science in it. However - air with oxygen is free, a chair to sit on is in the home, so doing deep breathing exercises will do the same. So BreatheSlim is yet another scam from scum who try to con those of us that need to lose weight out of cash. Please do not waste your money on it.

I support breathing for weight loss and for staying alive. Without breathing we would all be dead. I've gotten pretty good at it. It takes practice and sticking with it. I plan on continuing.....just sayin'. Why are they advertising for it? My breathing apparatus came with my body.
