Hi, guys, not sure if anyone will know this. My hubby and I have been eating Sprout salads at dinner for about a month now. I have searched and search on the Internet to find out approximately how many calories I've been eating in that salad. Maybe if someone is also eating Sprout Salads can tell me?

We have in the salad Adzuki beans, Pea Sprouts, Mixed Sprout bag, Mung Beans and sometimes we throw in a few raw garbanzo beans. Then we have in there radicchio & romaine lettuces along with fresh tomatoes, red onions, radishes, cukes, Kale and mushrooms. Yeah, it's loaded with veggies. I can figure out the salad dressing but for the life of me I'm not sure what to put for the salad part! I've been up to 600 calories and now I'm randomly putting in 450 calories (not counting the dressing). Do these sound high (you experienced Sprout eaters out there)?

I'm not big on sprouts so haven't tried searching them but, if the separate ingredients are in the database or info is available on them, couldn't you just enter it as a recipe then use the macros to set it up as a 'My Food' so you can both use it?

Do you know how to use the recipe function? You can create a recipe called, eg. Sprout Salad, then add each of the individual ingredients just like you add food to a diary. It can be a bit of hard work weighing/measuring everything but you only have to do it once and then the recipe is in your account.

no, I don't know about that function.... where is it? Duh, I sound so silly. Sounds good though, guess I just need a little guidance. I'm learning my way around, I'm still new...

Not sure about Sprout Salads, but this is how you create a recipe... click the "food" tab at the top of your page...then underneath that a new line will appear, and next to settings there is a tab for recipes. Click it. On the left side of the column it will say "my recipes" down on the right there will be a tab that says something like..."create new recipe", click on it. You will them be able to enter your ingredients and serving sizes, and it will caculate the total calories for that meal. (I apologize for not knowing all the right computer terms:)

That seems like an easy way. I tend to like to make things difficult on myself. (lol) Once I have used items a coulpe of times, it pops up in frequently used. I then just edit the portion I consume of each item, and get it that way. My guess is that you are already doing that. Sorry, I do not have another way. I eat a lot alfalfa sprouts, and they are not expencive in cals. I think they were like 12...?

8 cals for 4 oz for alfalfa sprouts--- sorry, not 12, but I would imagine that the chick peas would be the highest in cals, depending on how many "a few" chick peas are, and your portion sizes, 450 cals seems high to me
