I'm confused. I weighed in yesterday and was 249.7, when I weighed in this morning the first reading was 241.8 and then I decided to try again as I thought it was a bit low and the 2nd reading said 249.3. I'm going with the 2nd reading but how can teh scales be so off in such a short time?

was it throughout the day? because often in the morning you weigh less. also you have food in your tummy, as well as liquids. clothes also change the reading, as well as moving the scale. is it on a flat surface? just some suggestions. i hope i helped0

My scales do that sometimes, i have to be careful to stand the same way, ie feet in same position, electronic scales can be a bit sensitive at times.0

It was the same set of scales, in the same position, within 1 minute of each other. Must be the way I was standing but now I'm not sure. Maybe I need new scales!? The ones I used this morning belong to the doctor! I'm going to try again since I still haven't eaten or drank anything.0

I have noticed that even if I stand in the same position every time, just leaning back and forth slightly can make my weight different. Make sure you are standing up straight and not shifting your weight. I always take mine 3 times on my weigh in days just to make sure0

I've given up on mine! Made me lose 10 pounds within 1 day and then I gained another 8 the next day. I use a measuring tape and my clothes to measure success. For challenges, and most of them are based on weight and not inches or clothing sizes, I use whatever the scale tells me and I throw in a good amount of judging by inches lost.0

Probably the way you were standing. Some scales are more sensitive than others!0
