Running Shoes Help

My running shoes (they're Avia's) are giving me a little trouble...I like them, they're lightweight and comfy, but they've been rubbing on the back of my left ankle to the point where it bleeds. I got the shoes my freshman year of high school to run the mile in gym, but barely used them aside from that so they're relatively new...do I need new shoes? Is it my foot? Is it they socks I'm wearing? Help?? :frown:

U need to be replacing shoes every 2-300 miles..
Also, take yourself to a local running store, not a Footlocker or ****'s, but a regular running store.
Have your gait analyzed correctly.
Have them reccomend which shoes would be best for your feet.0 -
Could be a number of things... fit of shoes (could they still be breaking in, are they that new?), poor socks...
Try some body glide or similar anti-chafe.0 -
Get yourself some Vibrams!!! I just bought some and I get so excited to run! They are a godsend!0
