So I know crunches and situps are the usual ab exercises. But I really want a flat stomach, even a 4 pack. What are some great exercises to flatten and tone my stomach?

Core exercises are still great and you should do them, but this is the way you will get a flat stomach0 -
ANY exercise will help flatten your stomach, it's only once you're stomach is ALREADY flat that targeted exercises will do you any good for "targeting" that area for toning. You CANNOT target an area to lose weight.0

Planks & P90X Ab Ripper X among some others.
But the only way I have found to flatten my stomach dramatically is by not necessarily calorie deficit, but having very low carbs (<50g net carbs (carbs-fiber)) and eating CLEAN (no processed foods at all and for me no gluten has made a world of a difference) --- I have never had a muscular stomach by any means lol and once I started low carb and cut out gluten/grains in general, my stomach has become really flat without the exercise... as they say, abs are made in the kitchen and it couldn't be more true. I do not however have a 6 pack...and I don't wish to lol...but that is where the exercise comes in....and although I suggest planks and P90X ab ripper x, I also suggest doing compound exercises that work other parts of your body too instead of always specifically targeting your abs and cardio-especially walking/running on an incline and the elliptical. In my opinion, you MUST eat clean at least 6 of the 7 days of the week in order to have a flat stomach. Targeted ab exercises will not really get you anywhere without the clean eating. Once your stomach is flat then you can start to build the definition from those exercises.0 -

Okay, I already do a lot of walking and I incorporate th elliptical in my exercise routine. Thanks for the advice!0 -
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just eat right & stay under my calorie goal and begin to do hardcore exercising once my goal is reached.0
