It's homecoming week at my school and tomorrow is "Throwback Tuesday" - where everyone is supposed to dress from a different decade.

Here is my outfit... (total grunge!)

A black, grey and white babydoll dress
Black ripped fishnets
Black combat boots

Any suggestions on hair, makeup, and accessories??? I don't remember what the grunge styles were...

Personally I'd throw a flannel shirt on top, and maybe tie it at the waist.
  • I was in high school in the 90's. Big hair, definitely big big hair and lots of hair spray. I think anything went with makeup. What about that phase where they wore lip liner but no lipstick trying to make it look like you had big sexy lips? I think that was late 90's. Fun, I loved the 80's and 90's.

Grunge hair was "styled" to look unstyled...like you just got out of bed. I'd say tease the heck out of it.

i second the flannel shirt over the dress. I also remember not combing my hair EVER when I was in high school (ewww) but that was cool to have crazy messed up hair!
but yes, flannel is a must!

Yes! Especially if you have one of those fake tattoo chokers.

I am from seattle in the middle of the grunge craze. Fishnet stalkings, and you have to have a flannel period. The long black combat boots as well.

    Mini backpacks.
    Big, bold red lipsticks.
Messy hair or ultra styled (Think "The Rachael)
