Beef Jerky---hmmm??

Bought some beef jerky...thought it looked pretty decent on the protein front...not sure about the taste though!?

    I've tried jerky, they have different flavors. I'm not a big teriaki flavor person.

    I love the jerky and it's low in calories and high in protein. The sodium is bad if you watching that, but I can snack on a bag for the whole day.

    However, have breath mints handy.......ugh..... :)

    Venison jerky is the best...can't wait for hunting season to start. Freezer needs replenishing! :wink: :wink: :wink:

    Taste depends on the brand. My favorite is Snack Masters. I can't stand the usual brands. Jack Links is all sort and squishy and unnaturally red. Snack Masters has some bite to it and looks and tastes like dried meat. Very tasty.

    One of my friend's husband makes his own, and it's amazing. Crispy instead of chewy... totally different in texture than the stuff you buy in stores. She likes to joke that everyone is after her husband's meat!
