Time to find the OLD ME- Mommie Support Group

I am in search of some fellow mommies who are trying to get back to their old selves or are even trying to find their "new" selves. I have found it has been difficult to lose weight when you are feeling 'lost," working full time, raising a child, keeping good with God, living on an extreme budget and maintaining a healthy relationship with my spouse.
I am looking for anyone who needs support and for support for myself as well. You dont even have to be a parent just maybe going through some of the same struggles as listed above....
Because losing weight is hard enough...ecspescially when your self confiedence is low.

Hi feel free to add me, I can totally relate i was a size 7 before i got pregnant and my daughter just turned 4 and have not been able to get anywhere near my pre-pregnacy weight. But since signing up to MFP I found hope and motivation. I LOVE seeing the success stories0

I totally agree, i have 2 kids ages 6 and 2 and they are such a blessing in my life. As far as the weight ive gained....well i started at 107lbs and got pregnant when i was 15. Through my first pregnancy i got all the way up to 155lbs and then 3 years later gained up to 170lbs. This is the first time ive had to diet my entire life and its sooo not as easy as i thought. So far ive lost 21lbs ... im currently down to 149lbs and i still have plenty of work to do. I dont have a full time job outside of the home but i do some in home child care for family members a few times a week, homeschool my oldest child not to mention take care of my husband and kids.
Friend me...i could use support and im sure you could too0 -
I'm in - I too feel a bit lost like I am no longer my own person or something. It is an odd feeling - my husband even says things like I miss my old wife. I hope losing weight will help me get back to the confident woman he married0

Please add me...
I totally understand the balance issue...so many things pulling you in various directions and still needing to take care of yourself so you can be the best wife, mother, coworker you can be...it's not easy and sometimes it's all a bit overwhelming...
So it's nice to know we are not in this struggle alone...0 -
I am with you0

I'm in!!!!!!
I have a 3.5 year old son (Jacob) and a 19 month old daughter (Ava). They are less than 2 year apart and having 2 babies in less than 2 years has definitely taken its toll on my body (not to mention the breastfeeding for 3.5 years straight!
I work full time during the day and my husband works at night so there's little to no me time- except for my 5am runs.
I gained 60lbs in my first pregnancy and 45 in the second.
I am working to find the me under the mom!!!0 -

Here here! I've got 3 kids 12,10 and 6. Also a full time office job since August. Nice being back to work, but I've let 20 lbs creep up. Sitting all day doesn't help. I need to get my groove back :grumble:0

I am totally with all of you! I've been on a journey to find myself since last year. I've been doing okay at it.
My husband is stationed in South Korea until the summer, I relocated to a new city all on my own with our 3 yr old son. I've found a full time job and I love it! I'm going to school for Casino Management. I'll be 24 in December, and I'm the heaviest I have ever been, my doctor plans on putting my on Phentermine next month if I haven't lost any weight (thank god).
I go out almost every weekend, I've been blessed with a great group of lgirlfriends and I've finally just now started to feel like myself.
Honestly, its been really difficult without my husband BUT I NEEDED this year apart to find myself again and to get that independence I've been craving.0 -
Please add me! I stay at home with my 4 year old, have a 12 year old, and have fibromyalgia. I was 105 pounds when I met my husband 18 years ago, ups and downs and 2 kids later, I am up to 169 pounds. I have tried many different diets that I was not able to stick to. With the fibro and chronic fatigue I tire very easily and dont have much energy at all, but I have started walking every evening with some friends, and most days I try to get a morning walk in also. Help and encouragement is what I need!!0

feel free to add me as well.
I have two girls ages 9 and almost 2 and I also have a 12 year old that I gave up for adoption when I was 20. I would be extatic to even get down to the weight I was before I got pregnant with my 9 year old and it's been quite a struggle. This is the first time that I'm actually logging my daily food and exercise and it definately helps but I still have my ups & downs.0 -
Feel free to add me as well!! My baby girl is turning 1 in 22 days!!! She is my first and I didn't gain much pregnant with her(23pds) but I was already 155pds when I got pregnant. I am about 9pds away from my goal. I have worked so hard and have seen wonderful results! I would love to offer support anytime!!!0

Count me in too..I have 6 kiddos ages 12, 9, 4, 3, 2 & 1 (yes, 4 pregnancies back to back) There's not alot of me time, with juggling working full time, the kids activities, dinner, cleaning and everything else. Luckily my hubby is very supportive of my weight loss goals, but it's still super hard to balance everything.
I was at my highest weight with my last pregnancy (I was on bedrest for preterm labor and preeclampsia and was in & out of the hospital from 30 weeks on) and I normally bounce back pretty well after pregnancy, but doing nothing all those weeks and not being able to get out of bed for more then a quick shower or to use the bathroom really took it's toll, but I'm working hard to get back on track!!! Feel free to add me!!!0 -

I am in a different season of motherhood as my boys are older at 15 and 12 but I feel the same way. They may be more independent but we have new struggles that we are going through. I am a working mom, so I struggle with juggling cleaning, cooking, laundry, working, running the kids, working out ect. It is definately hard and we all get lost in it and forget who we are. I have the hardest time making myself take time to exercise when the house is not clean and the laundry is not done. Just keep your head up and take time for yourself, even if that is locking yourself in the bathroom for a half an hour for a nice hot bath. (I remember never being alone in the bathroom). Best of luck to you!0
