calipers (sp?), that will measure the inches, there is a calculator you can use if you have exact measure ments but typically if you can pinch an inch of fat off of your body, then thats more than you should have, IF you want muscle definition but otherwise calipers measuring fat or there is this way to measure it when your in the water, forget what its called but i would say calipers are your best bet

For a quick easy reference, you may purchase an electronic hand held body fat monitor from a drug/health food store. In addition to the calipers you may find that helpful.
