Hi - my first time. Ive doing really well losing weight but after a routine blood test my doctor said my sugar and chlesterol are up. I added these to my tracking OMG and the food they say and has been good for me i.e. tomatoes which I eat loads are super high in sugar. Also an Italian bread stick / finger shaped bread I have been eating for lunch - calories 86 sugars 90. What! Also chicken, eggs and milk all have so much cholesterol and sugar - just what are you supposed to do?

Don't eat so much egg products. My best suggestion. The milk I drink doesn't have that much cholesterol in it. o.o

Switch from whole eggs to egg yolks and try to add more greens to your diet? I didn't know chicken had a lot of cholesterol, but maybe switch it up with some fish? Maybe ask the doctor what you should do or see if you can get referred to a nutritionist?

Take the flour and dairy products out of your plan and you will notice a difference just with that.

My mother has type II diabetes and we put her on a sugar, flour, and wheat free plan and her sugar leveled out fine.

Also, are you drinking any alcohol? Big sugar issues and cholesterol issues from alcohol.

I would not worry about chicken though, if you are eating the breast without skin - that should be a pretty clean food product.

I have mega ideas on eating a clean plan to level the blood sugar (over 19 years of experience), so if you want some of my food ideas, I will pass them on. Just message me and I will send them your. way.

Dietary cholesterol has practically nothing to do with blood cholesterol levels.

You mean egg whites. The yolks are what contains the chloresterol.

You could also try giving up wheat. A few of us did that in a 2 week no-wheat challenge and we found that the pounds slid off, there was less bloating, and all digested more easily. Take a look at no-gluten diets for inspiration as to what good substitutes there are out there.

I'm pretty sure you should not be switching to egg yolks.

My cholesterol went from 195 (bad cholesterol only) to 72 just from tracking what I eat.

I substituted soy milk for whole and 2% in everything including my coffee. 2 Egg whites and 1 whole egg instead of 3 whole eggs. Also, switched to smart balance butter instead of regular butter.

    Good luck.

There is a difference between "good" chlesterol and "bad. There really is nothing wrong with eggs, as long as you are not eating them everyday. Once a week is fine. I just spoke with my doctor last week and have the same problem with the choleserol and I am pre diabetic. Between diet and exercise you should be able to bring it down. I am also drinking Shakeology which has been proven to lower Cholesterol by 38% in most and up to 70%. You can PM me if you would like more information. I am using it everyday and my Doctor told me to stick with it. Good luck, and if you need healthy eating tips just friend me and I would be more than happy to help. The biggest thing when you go grocery shopping is to stay on the outer walls of the store. That is where all the good for you food is. Produce, meats, dairy ect. Have a great day!!
