I need to get my meds refilled but the doc said "not til you come into the office for an evaluation'

He was noticebly shocked by my new blood labs and was very pleased with what I've done.

Last time he saw me I was 260ish....today I weighed in at 239

Last time cholesterol combined was 274!! .... today was 106 (the good stuff, hdl, went from 27 to 35)

Last time blood pressure was 140/85...today 108/71

We discussed the need for me to be on a cholesterol lowering medication, and agreed I could DROP IT!

We discussed the need for high blood pressure medication, which I've been on mostly for about 8 years, we agreed to cut the dose in half and if my current trend continues for 30 days we will DROP IT completely!

After that I'm just on vitamins and such...

Awesome! Great job. I know 25-30 lbs would help sooo much alone on my blood pressure. So far I've never had problems on my cholesterol totals or my blood sugars which my Dr's watch closely at least every 6-12 months due to family history of diabetes. Not sure on the LDL and HDL ratio or exact totals but she seems happy with it. MY triglycerides however were 3 pts high so I'd like to lower that. Niacin didn't seem to do the trick. I stopped them just doing a daily multi and fish oil w/ omega 3 plus I put flax seeds on a lot of my food to get in more omega 3.

Did you do a major change on your eating habits? Surely you changed something. Way to go!!!!
