Why is it that I can not get back into the healthy eatting and working out? I have a job interview tomorrow. I went and bought a suit for it and it really got me down on how I look in clothes. Expecially from WalMart! That is not where I got my suit from but I did try clothes on from there. I hate the way I look and feel about myself but can't seem to get the courage or motivation to do anything again. :(

  • O darling!!! I am sorry. I do this all the time. I get totally off track and then just get frustrated with myself because I am sabotaging myself. What I do is step on the scale and stare at the number. It is always higher than I want it because I haven't been eating right or working out. Then I try on a pair of jeans that were tight (usually they are even tighter). This gets me so upset. Therefore, I look at myself in the mirror say WTF are you doing and get up the next morning and take control of the situation. Hopefully this helps you out. Good luck with your interview.
  • Simple. If you do not like your current state, CHANGE IT. Good luck!

    No day but today.
Make a change. Why do you want this? How badly do you want this?
You have the skills and the power to make a positive change in your life. Do it- what do you have to lose (besides a lot of weight)?
People here are so supportive; take full advantage of that. Don't give up, because you CAN do this!
  • i know how you feel i have been feeling the same way lately and no matter how many times i tell myself im going to the gym i never end up going
  • First you should find better suited clothes. Walmarts clothes are the worse for it. Try goodwill because you WILL be loosing weight and you want to save all the money for BRAND NEW clothes once you have reached your goal. I am struggling too. I am terrible around the holiday times but just remember that you are doing it for you and no one else. If you don't take care of yourself now, you risk the change of getting worse and making it 10 times harder to stay fit and loose the extra weight.

This will be blunt, and honest...not ment to hurt, but to give you that kick in the *kitten*

You dont need motivation from others....you need to ask yourself what it is that you want. DO YOU WANT TO BE HEALTHIER? And be honest. its a choice. If the answer is yes...then all I can say is:

SUCK IT UP AND GET MOVING!!!!! IF YOU WANT IT, GET IT!

I don't want to be a downer, but how do you expect us to be more motivated for your health than you are?

You don't like the way you look? FIX IT! That's why most of us are here!

I feel the same this morning so found your message after a search for 'motivation' :P So we're in the same boat! Today is the day, no more excuses, clean and healthy eating today, plenty of water, and a trip to the gym. That'll get us back on track! One day of failure is all it takes though to throw me in to despair - must learn to get on with it and get over it when I have slips. So OK, yesterday was a disaster, it was lashing raining so I drove to and from work (instead of cycling), then to and from college, and Thursday is my no gym day anyway.. but I really didn't need those two chocolate bars!! Oh well, today will be better.
Sorry for the rambling message, trying to give myself motivation here too! Best of Luck, you're doing great :D
