Protein shakes

I'm struggling to get my protein intake up so have been looking into protein shakes. Can anyone recomend any in the UK please? The ones I have seen seem quite expensive, so is there a good supplier that do them a bit cheaper? Looking to essentially build lean muscle; I do 1/2 and hour or so strength training twice a week and Taekwondo twice a week.
Thanks
Thanks

I love the chocolate Whey protein, added with a little peanut butter, water & ice...I use it after a "HARD" workout when my muscles feel drained...found @ Wal-Mart
good luck0 -

Hi Ash
My husband uses a lot of this for his weight training and has tried a few brands. He likes Holland and Barretts, but they are usually about £40 so is only worth it when they're on offer, but we've just bought him a new one from the site below, and it was a bigger tub, pretty quick shipment and he says its really nice. Give them a try and good luck x

Holland and Barrett do a line called Precision Engineering. They've got different versions: whey protein, milk & egg protein and soya protein. They come in a variety of flavours and aren't too expensive - plus they have the penny sale on at the moment, meaning if you buy one product, you get another for 1p. I think some of the protein shakes come under this sale. The whey protein and the soya protein aren't too shabby tasting

try mpyrotein.co.uk ... basically cuts out the middleman
not for me though as it is derived from milk ... but they have generally 5 star reviews0 -

Superdrug own brand meal replacement shakes. I'm dead serious. They are dirt cheap (£7.99 for 2 tubs last I saw), tastiest make I've tried and they have a lot of added vits and mins since it's meal replacement. I use it in porridge, yoghurt, and as a shake to up my protein levels.0

Thanks for the suggestion. May be a little high on the calorie side for my purposes as I don't want them as meal replacement.0 -
I have started using Nature's Best Whey Protein. Much cheaper than some of the top brands and mix well and the tastiest I've had.
