Hi everybody!
Since everyone is posting about NSV at the moment, I wanted to ask you which one was the best for you. Which Non-Scale Victory made you feel GREAT about yourself? :glasses:

I need new jeans. All of my pants. I can take them off without unbuttoning them. I feel great.
And I need a new wedding band. I slides right off my hand now. (I need one quick before I lose this one.)0 -
Great! Apart from the possibility of losing your wedding ring, it sure is awesome! Well done!0

Haha brilliant! At least there's some positives to take from that.
Mine has been buying two pairs of skinny jeans (UK 14, one trouser size down than when I started) that fit perfectly. I haven't been able to find jeans that fitted properly in nearly 2 years as I'd always get muffin tops or they wouldn't fit over my thighs. And they're already starting to feel loose, I'll be in size UK 12s in no time! Plus my work trousers are getting so loose they're starting to fall down a lot.0 -
Running. Never did it my whole life. Now I love it. Oh, and fitting into 32 waist jeans (used to be 44) was a very close second.0

Hmmm right now it is a total tie...between my husband telling me that I had a great butt for the first time EVER in more than 16 years of knowing him. OR wearing these jeans today that I haven't in more than 9 years!0

Sprinting to catch the metro so I wasn't late for work. I ran about a quarter of a mile, as fast as I could in dress shoes, caught the train and when I sat down I wasn't out of breath I thought to myself, old me would have had to make a phone call to let them know I would be late.0

My Best NSV to date happened last week at the gym. My regular buddies didn't come with me to a boot camp class that has a ton of running. In a typical class, I would always bring up the rear. the instructor would sometimes create a new, shorter route for me to run, so that I could finish with the group. Well, last Wednesday, I not only finished with the class, I was at the front!! The instructor told me later that I only had an hour to work out, which isn't enough time to be nice and let my friends slow me down. The next day, that instructor wrote another instructor (my friend) an email about how much faster and stronger I was getting and how I was "really inspiring".0

Going shopping for a dress for our son's wedding and being able to fit into a 12 for the first time in prob 18 years0

i did 15 pushups yesterday, THE REAL WAY!!0

My jeans being too big! The first time this happened, it was just a realization that I was actually doing this and making progress! It was so exciting!0

I'd have to say the top one so far is the size 4 (A freaking FOUR!!!) skirt that I'm wearing at work today
A close second is my husband telling me he feels like he's cheating on his wife because I look like a different person these days...0 -
Getting in running shape. Getting my 5k time down significantly, running up to 6.5 miles without walking or stopping.
Also just getting into my smaller pants. I was in 36 pants but even got into some 32 pants easily yesterday. Not roomy enough to wear yet, but def. by end of year. My watch is notched to the 4th hole now. I'm tucking in my shirts now. And to think I still want to lose close to 20 more lbs. That's when I want to pack on the muscle. I don't wan tto be skinny. Just a skinny waist but muscular.0 -

Loved this! :drinker: Congrats!0 -
Clothes and sport achievements are the NSV that many people losing weight and getting in shape notice at a certain point. And it DOES feel great!
Awesome, folks! Thanks for your answers and congratulations for your Scale and Non Scale Victories! :glasses:0 -
My grandchildren being able to wrap their arms ALL the way around me in a hug! Absolute HEAVEN!0
-
I was able to purchase jeans out of American Eagle,The Gap and Old Navy without having to order my size on line. I even went into a few other stores to make sure I was not dreaming.0
-
Either noticing for the first time that I have a shape, or my boyfriend being all over me telling me how amazing I look, which he always did but does more so now.0
-
running up the stairs in my apartment building cause I forgot something and realizing I wasn't panting and wheezing like an old lady lol (which is a big deal cause I have asthma)0
-
Running in to someone who I had not seen in a year and them not even recognizing me. I had to say hey it's me and they said wow you don't even look like the same person.0
-
My wedding band is lose now too, which is scary at times... My biggest NSV has been the growing stack of all of my clothes that no longer fit me! I can't wait to give them away or donate them! Super exciting!!!0
