I track my fiber intake and I've noticed that when I exercise, MFP increases my fiber "goal" for the day. Does anyone know why they do that? I eat plenty of fiber so I wouldn't think exercise would increase my need.

Exercise increases your calories for the day, and therefore all of the macros that makes up those calories...0

It increases everything. But MFP fibre goal is lower than what is actually recommended.
Age 50 and younger
Women: 25 grams
Men: 38 grams
Age 51 and older
Women: 21 grams
Men: 30 grams

It goes by percentage, so if your total calorie goal goes up, so does your protein, carbs and fiber.0

Thanks for your responses. I understand all of what you say. I eat about the recommended 38 grams per day and have adjusted MFP's goal to match that number. Perhaps I'm wrong but I don't think my fiber needs increase due to exercise.0

I am 41 and my doctor told me to eat at least 40 grams a day.
I understand what you are saying on the website increasing it with exercise. i tend to ignore certain increases..0
