Let's get the introduction part out the way.

I am Zee, a 22yo college student majoring in Communication with a concentration in Media Studies. My goal in life is to become famous for making music that leaves a lasting impact on whomever hears it. I am a musician so I tend to rant, ramble and frustrate easy. It's all a part of the creative process.

Nothing has even been more of a constant plague in my life than me trying to loose weight. I come from two fairly fit parents but for some reason I just can't seem to get with the program. It all started when I was a child (isn't that how is always it...) I was diagnosed with asthma at a very young age and through that diagnosis was told to begin breathing treatments as well as steroi-filled-metabolism-stopping inhaler. So the inevitable happened, yes you guessed it, I blew up. I was never a super skinny child, but from there I went to morbidly obese. The worst part of it all was that all the people around me never gave the dose of reality chat I needed. I have long hair and unique features so more often than not I got the "You are so gorgeous....for a BIG girl" and for a while that was enough.

NOT ANYMORE!! I have finally come to the realization that I am not healthy and my dreams, goals and aspirations will forever be put on hold until I can concur this one thing, this "elephant in the room"

    Oh my goooosh I hear you so hard on that "You have such a pretty face," bull****. Like I can't be pretty or beautiful or whatever the size I am. Such a left-handed compliment. Anyway, good luck with your weight loss! I also can't wait to feel healthy and look fabulous and ****. I'll totally add you as a friend. We have the same goal weight so maybe we can get there together!

    My parents are fit too! And my sister is a size 6, so I get to hear how smart I am and how Cute she is... Good luck!

    If only I had a dollar for every "pretty face" comment in my life. Well guess what girl..... we are putting our bodies where our faces are!!!! (Wish I could put it where my face WAS at 20 but oh well....we do with what we've got..lol). You have come to the right place. The people here a amazing and the success stories keep you moving forward. I wish you all the luck in the world in this new life of yours! Unsolicited advice........ water....fiber...more water....more fiber....make your journal public....then even more water and fiber!!!
