A friend just posted a recipe on facebook and I had to try it.
These are low cal (as far as cookies go I'd say) and the hubby loves them!!!
Only 3 ingredients - super easy to make
I made a "double batch" yielding 30 medium sized cookies.
1cup nutella
1cup white flour
1 large egg
Mix all ingredients - roll into balls and flatten with hand (or fork)
Cook @ 350 for 7-8 minutes.
Cool and serve!!
Worked out to 137 calories per cookie

LOL they arent that bad for you !!!!
137 calories for a decent sized cookie!! You are looking at 270ish calories for two - which is the average value of a single cookieat my work!!! YIKES
Just makea single batch and freeze some0 -
This sounds yummy...but who eats the other 29 cookies. Because if I baked those in my house, it would be me.0
-
sounds interesting... is that recipe for the double batch of 30 or the regular batch?0
-
My roomie will love this0

dude there is no way. nutella is so high in calories. you know that there are 20 tablespoons in a cup?0

At 137 calories a cookie, yielding 30 cookies each time this is cooked... I'd be careful to limit a sitting a day to one or two max.
Don't necessarily think it's wise to treat good eating/exercising behaviour with 'low cal' cookies? It's like 'celebrating' a month of quitting smoking by indulging in a cigarette!
To put into perspective, one of those cookies is the equivalent to a row of cadbury chocolate...
I'll stick to my ski lite yoghurt, or 80g of licorice as a treat0 -

I LOVEEEEEEEEE nutella!
I am not allowed to buy a jar0 -
30 was for a the double batch - so I am asuming 15 for the regular batch. So FAR less dangerous. I usually bring my baked goods to work so I make a bit extra.0

I did the math according toe the calculator on here.. 30 cookies at 3200calories in nutella. 106cals in nutella in each cookie.
I treat myself to something every now and then - I have lost nearly 60lbs since MFP and 90 in total. I think a cookie or two is NOT like having a cigarette in celebrating not smoking. Are you NEVER going to have a cookie again in your life?? EVER??? Cause I know I will always have treats. Its about moderation - and learning to do things in proportion and less frequently.0 -

Amen!!!! You can't just cut out the "good" stuff forever! That makes your body quietly resent you. And when you finally do get to treat yourself, you over indulge.
I still go to Wendys, McDonalds, etc. But I get the salads, and save 300+ calories doing so by not getting the fatty meals. So, I'm not depriving myself at all.0 -

Thanks to double coupon wednesday, I just stocked up on nutella and I now know where one jar is going!0 -
Man I knew I shouldn't have read this thread...sounds soooo good!
And honestly you have to be able to treat yourself. I highly doubt (okay I know I CAN'T) go the rest of my whole life without ever touching a cookie .... or cupcake, or chips, or cake, or ice cream. I mean I hope I have another 70-80 years to live and that's a long fricken time to live without cookies. And if I let myself indulge every now and then then it'll be much easier to be healthy the other 98% of the time. One of these is NOT going to make you gain 10 pounds overnight.
EVERYTHING IN MODERATION, PEOPLE!0 -

I meant no disrespect in my post. My basis for saying what I said was because my whole life I've NEVER constrained what I've eaten for the large majority of my life... so yes, I do not think its wise to treat myself with junk food because it promotes bad eating habits as a reward for good lifestyle decisions. In drug terms, its like a 'gateway drug' that leads to even worse.
You're correct, if you can treat yourself in moderation, it's very important to satisfy cravings for junk food as its far more dangerous to cut everything out. I just personally find there are alternatives that work better for me.
If you find that this is working out for you (and in fact, 60 lbs is not easy to lose so I applaud that) then stick with it. I don't mean to discourage. I just don't trust myself to even treat that much! If you trust yourself, then forget what anyone says!0
