Calories in microwaved salami

A while back (Years), my wife and I tried the Protien Power Plan. (Think Adkins, but slightly less restrictive). One of the treats we discovered was microwaved salami crisps.

What I am looking for is a way to know how many calories are left in them after the fat is rendered out. (You put them on a paper towel and nuke them until they are crisp.)

Anyone have a clue?

No idea. I would just go with the regular calorie count though, whatever is taken out during cooking can just be a little extra deficit for the day.

I would agree with capriciousmoon. Count the calories as normal salami. I would also keep in mind the sodium content though.

Yeah, I only do like 4 slices at a time. I already get WAY too much sodium because I use convenience foods like Artisan Fresh Chicken Sausage.

Salami crisps are just a little treat. I weighed them before and after and they dropped about half their weight, but I don't know how much of that is water, and how much is fat.
