A well fitted sports bra! I haven't got much in the way of boobs and even less since being on this weight loss journey but I still need to wear a sports bra when working out because they got sore.0

I'm a guy and happens to me quiet a lot when I run in particular for longer runs (1hr+). I've also seen it happen to others (when I get to the finish line of a 10km race for example) as well so I think it can be quite normal. You can try things like vaseline etc and different size t-shirts/sports bras to try and resolve the issue0

yes!! and if it persists, see your doctor0 -
Hon, you need more than a sports bra~ I suggest you make an appointment with you doctor about this problem.
Bleeding from the nipples can occur for a number of reasons, but exercising is not one of them.
While you are a bit young, your doctor may want you to get a mammogram or ultrasound of your breasts.
Good luck with this.0 -

Well I am not a Doctor... but I can take a look0 -
Please see a doctor!~ My sister had this happen last year and was diagnosed with breast cancer!!!0

I've only seen men with "runner's nipple" - if you watch the end stages of a marathon, loads of them look like they've been shot twice in the chest!
Are you exercising without a sports bra or even a bra? If so march right out now and get yourself one!
However, if there's no chance it was chafing because you're wearing a bra, do get it checked out.0 -

I agree with Rosie on this. I'd see your Dr. about that. Maybe it's common for runners but if you're just doing a regular work out, I'm thinking that's not normal at all...Good luck and take care!0 -
When it happened to me years and years ago when I ran alot, I'd put those small round bandages over them.0

Well thank goodness for that! :indifferent:0 -
Please see a doctor. This can be a sign of breast cancer. It needs to be checked out just to be safe.0

They make Nip Guards for men. Have you heard of them? My male running friends think they're great!0 -

More than likely the OP isn't wearing a sports bra that compresses her chest enough or not wearing one at all. (Not everyone needs them, after all!) Bleeding nipples are very common for men, especially if they are wearing a cotton t-shirt and exercising/running for a long period of time or even for short sessions over a long period of time as the skin irritation can worsen from session to session.
To the OP, get a good sports bra or protect your nipples with Body Glide, moleskin or anything else that will prevent them from rubbing against your shirt or bra.0 -
I have never heard of this. I would see a doctor. Did you just start exercising? Or have you been exercising for a while and this is the first time it's happened??0
