Why is drinking water the best thing for water retention? At least that's what I've heard in the past, is it true?

Because water is being stored because of excess sodium in the body. Drinking more water, flushes it out.0

it's like when your body goes into "starvation mode" when you don't eat enough. your body retains the food you eat making it harder to lose. Water is the same, if you don't drink enough water your body will retain it, in order for it not to be retained you have to drink alot of it throughout the day.0
