My GERD suck big time. It feels it doesnt allow me to live my life. I start with a diet and once GERD gets out of control I need something to sooth it so I start eating ice cream, popsicles, anything, it kindds turns out the fire, if you know what I mean.

Also when I work out, I prefer to stop bec it bothers me having constant acid reflux.

How to deal with this? :( I have tried everything I could from medicines.

  • I have GERD, but thankfully it's controlled by taking medication daily. Have you thought of trying some natural remedies? I just googled 'natural remedies for acid reflux' and got a ton of responses.

I hope that you're able to find a solution soon because I know how painful it is to live with GERD.

I don't know much about it besides the slight acid reflux problems both hubby and I have had in the past but have you tried tackling the problem by avoiding certain foods? I just googled foods to avoid for gerd and ice cream was on the list. I've heard before that eventhough dairy may make it feel better, it's not really good for indigestion issues. Something more natural like papaya enzyme or ginger might be a better solution.

How about consulting a nutritionist or dietician recommended by your doctor to see what foods you should avoid and what foods are safe?

See the doctor. I use Nexium for GERD. There are other meds available and I am still able to eat hot sauce, peppers, garlic, etc. My doctor also says that the more weight I lose the less the GERD will manifest itself.

Good luck, see the doc though.
