I read another thread where someone dropped theirs in the shower, so I was wondering if this was a normal thing (phone in the shower).

LOL!!! Someone needs to go to CPA (cell phone anonymous) if they have to use it in the shower! And i thought I was a phone addict!

I have taken mine into the bathroom while showering. I keep the curtain open a bit so I can hear for texts...then I dry my hands off and text back.

    This isnt normal. lol

I take mine into the bathroom while I shower to use the alarm feature so I can gauge my time better, but I never take it in to the actual shower while it's on! My boyfriend used to regularly take his into the shower with him and text me or look at forums...I always thought it was really funny! He got a new smart phone a couple months ago and I think he curbed the destructive behavior for the time being...those things are expensive!

    Not in the shower!

I do leave mine outside of the shower in case I get a call or text from my hubby (away for some Army training) or if I am waiting for text/call from someone.

I don't take mine IN the shower, but I do usually have it in the bathroom while I shower.
How did the world get to be this way? LOL I'm sure there won't be a dire emergency in the time I'm showering, but.... just in case LOL
  • I've taken my phone in the shower if I'm in the middle of a call. I usually just let my roommate handle washing me so I can keep my head outside the curtain a little.

I take my iPad in the bathtub sometimes, but I'm always feeling like someone is pointing a gun at my head when I do it. Too expensive to drop ;-)

Back, oh 30 years ago or so when you could first play music on your phone, I'd take it in with me and put it in a plastic baggy and listen to the tunes while I showered. Then, one day the baggy leaked and that ended that ordeal.

  • This is a true story:

My cousin would put her phone into a plastic baggie to shower with it. Seriously?

Yes. Let's just say I know someone who didn't mind at all that I did that.

Guilty of this. I don't make it a habit, but if I am trying to coordinate plans for that evening while getting ready, I totally do exactly this. OR if I am texting with a guy that I really like :-)

no way! i love coming home and turning my phone OFF. If I didn't have a 3 year old son to check up on through out the day I probably would just leave the phone in my car in case of an emergency. I enjoy being cellphoneless as much as possible
