Anyone care to share a story or two about a situation they have been in where someone gets their just desserts, aka come uppance, aka Karma in a can? I'll give one.

I was stuck in a very long line of traffic at the hampton roads bridge tunnel and this chick goes riding up the side lane passed everyone so she could get up to the front of the tunnel and not have to wait as long. Well she passed a cop and of course he pulled her. So as we slowly drove by everyone was laughing, honking and flipping her off. Plus you could tell the cop was just reaming her. haha I love Come Uppance when I get to be there to see it.

So what do you guys got? I know you got some good stuff.

    um no. Ppl who pass me on the road do not harm me in any way, nor would I wish any harm on strangers. Wishing bad things on ppl is the same as wishing it on yourself - times 3.

    But you see, I've lived longer & I've gotten my 'commuppance' .. more than once & often enough to suit me

    When I was 7 one of my nan's brothers died. Years later my dad told me that shortly before he died it came out that he had been having a 21 year long affair with his wife's best friend. She was going to leave him, but then he was diagnosed with aggressive testicular cancer and died pretty soon after the diagnosis. I always remember my dad ending the story with "talk about getting your come uppance."

    I don't know how true that all is because I was so young at the time and I've never wanted to bring it up! But I suppose that's a REALLY extreme and pretty horrid example if it's true.

    Ever watch the show 1000 Ways to Die? It is great because most of the a-holes dying on the show deserve it. It's like Darwin awards (stupid ways people die) in reenactments. Karma at it's finest, LOVE IT!

    My friend and I pulled up to a stop sign once and stopped, because that's what you do and also there was a car coming from the right. The guy behind us was in a hurry, pulled around us in the left lane, ran the stop sign and pulled in front of the oncoming car that just happened to be a cop. :laugh:

    thanks for the post, but you missed the point of this exercise, oh and who wished anything upon here she did it and something bad happened for it thats cause and effect.

    I used to work for a bloke from the UK whose accountant stole millions from the company. It all came out when we were in Las Vegas and the accountant was unrepentant and said that since "Mick" had loads of money, it should not be such a big deal. He also said that there was no way anyone could prove anything. Needless to say, he did not get to fly back on the private jet with us. Two weeks later, his wife informed him that the child he thought was his was not, she was leaving him for another guy, and that she knew all about the money he had stolen and turned him in to the authorities. A week later he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He died in 2009. It was hard to feel sorry for the guy.

    Nobody wished anything in this situation. It happened, and it's always great to see someone who is being an a-hole get whats coming to them.

    Damn double post............Oh well I am gonna use this one to since I can't delete it. She didn't just pass someone on the road in an actual lane, she used the shoulder and could have caused a serious accident just because she wanted to be ahead of other people..........big difference there. oh and the times 3 thing, in a world that is never fair the times 3 thing is total crap otherwise criminals would totally be screwed. Someone's been watching the craft.
