I'm looking for an "all-in-one" website to learn about carbs. I want to be able to look up hundreds of different foods and get DETAILED data on their carb content such as simple, complex, starchy, fibrous, glycemic load etc.

I've googled for a while and most of what I find is about the south beach diet which I have no interest in or they are websites with a short list of foods in each of the carb category.

The closest I've found is nutritiondata.self.com but there's so many foods I can't find on there! Myfitnesspal.com is superior in it's calorie and basic macro nutrient tracking functionality but I need MORE KNOWLEDGE!

I want to LEARN these things IN-DEPTH. Not just read little tiny bits and pieces of info about it here and there. I want to know intimately what I eat.

If you think you know a site or book which fits this description let me know.

Thanks!

Not sure if this will help but maybe there will be some useful new information for you.

    http://www.carbohydrateaddicts.com/

I've read 2 of their books and thought they had some interesting insight.
  • Do their books contain carb info on hundreds of different foods?
  • Any other suggestions?

I didn't use the books for carb info on specific foods. The overall info is good. They do have a book that lists foods. I have not used that. You could look for it in a book store and flip through it to see what they do have. Not sure if this helps or not.
