The weekend is such a dangerous time for me. At work during the week I can keep my eating schedule. I get to the weekend and sometime all just goes to hell and by Monday I have gained 1-2 lbs.
What do some of you do to keep this under control?

Hello,
Well, first congrats on sticking to your guns during the week!!!
I struggle with nightime and weekends too and the only thing that has worked thus far is getting outside and away from my kitchen!! lol Thankfully, the weather is slowly turning nicer here in PA, so I will take the hubby and kids on a hike or a walk at our local park. I prefer more power hiking, but when the kids are in tow, it is much slower, but still alot of fun...next thing I know, we have been hiking for about 2-3 hours....I take a backpack along with some snacks and fruits incase anyone gets hungry, but noone has complained thus far....I don't think they look at it as "exercise"...lol When we get home around 8:00 or so, we are busy with baths/whatnot to get ready for the next day and snacking/eating is not foremost in my head.....I just tell myself it is now too late to eat anything and that it can wait til morning.....especially if I had some fruit or nuts during our hike....
Hope this helps!! Good Luck!0 -
The weekend is always a B*tch for me too. I try to stay active and not sit around at home because that's when I become bored and munch.
The only problem with that is I tend to go shopping. I'm either gonna be skinny and poor or fat and rich!!! :bigsmile:0 -
weekends are tough for me too. I'm way more active on the weekends, therefore I freely eat more. But I found if I pre-plan my meals and have healthy snacks available, I spend more time enjoying my weekends, NOT dreading them.
I like to keep chicken on hand for a quick grilled chicken sandwich. Instead of chips, I'll try to have SPECIAL dill pickles. I might make chicken salad with FF mayo to keep in the frige.
I love hummus. . .but I always keep canned chick peas in the cabinet for a split second fast food snack !0 -
I find it easy during the week, too.
I carefully plan weekend indulgences by planning exercise & meals ahead. I even write them on my calendar. I have room for a glass of wine if I'm careful the rest of the day. (And I tell my hubby in case he's thinking about pizza)
Then I know that if I'm a pound up on Monday, I must exercise a little more & stick to my meal plan completely.
It's working okay for me & I don't feel deprived.0 -
 Thank You all for your suggestions. If the weather was much better here in Wisconsin then I could go out bike ridding or something with my kid& husband but If its 50 degrees today then tomorrow we may get a snow storm! It's just crazy here. I do have a Nintendo WII so I usually play that with my son for like 2 hrs. I like to play the WII Fit because my son also enjoys it but other then that I don't know what to do the rest of the day......Ohhhh well I might play a little Guitar Hero too! I guess I will have to get more creative.0
