Currently I am snacking on some chilled quinoa, chopped tomatoes and avacados and whole wheat chips....
Do you have any ideas for late night snacks that I can eat while doing homework late tonight?

Feel free to check out my diary! I snack a ton at night. Mostly fruits and protein with some carbs tossed in for good measure

Because the person who told you this has a misunderstaning about insulin and metabolism in general.
EDIT: I don't mean to be snarky, it was a legitimate reply, just FYI.0 -

I would just like to point out that I finally beat Acg to an answer. I should have a buzzer.0 -
I keep 100 calorie bags of microwave popcorn handy!0

My late night snacks tend to be popcorn, cheese and crackers, toast with butter, tortilla chips and salsa, dark chocolate, or ramen with egg and whatever frozen veggies I have.0

I don't stay away from fruit at night but I do stay away from processed sugar at night. It seems to make it harder for me to go to sleep, not because I fear it will suddenly turn into fat.0

^ And just to clarify, this is absolutely a reason to avoid eating a particular item at night. Personal preference trumps darn near everything.0 -
Late night munchies is such a problem for me that I schedule it like a meal. Tonight's snack is an ounce of Canadian Club 12 yr.
Generally the late snack is the same stuff that I eat for my afternoon snack and runs under 200 Cal. Things like jerky, cheese, pepperoni(turkey), a small bag of chips or popcorn, some fruit and cottage cheese, stuff like that.0
