So essiantly you need to lose .5 a day or three pounds a week.
I'd personally make sure you can eat as healthy as you can, workout(both cardio and weights) and try not to stress. If it doesn't happen, then it doesn't happen.. and that may be a reality. Can't force the body to do something it doesn't want to!0 -
And drink lots (and lots) of water.0

^ ditto. More than 8 glasses a day0 -
Ditch the dress and wear something that fits you and is comfortable. Then, find ways to lose without a time limit on it. You'll do much better knowing you're improving yourself slowly and surely.0

Actually, it's only 5 weeks away. She'd need to lose 3 lbs a week.
It's definitely do able even though you'll get a lot of people telling you it's not healthy. You will need to work out every day and be strict with your calorie intake. Stick to high fiber foods and proteins to help keep you full. Do things that help to sculpt your body when working out. For me, that means Spinning class for my legs, thighs and butt. It depends on your own body type so do exercises that work for you. The most important part is that you do something every day. And definitely drink as much water as you can.
Good luck!0 -

I think you mean 1/2-pound a day! That's a bit much to expect, even for a quick-fix weight loss plan... Is there any chance you can buy the dress one size up?0 -

Hehe, at first I read that and was like, "Oh, that's totally doable!" Then I thought, "Wait a minute - that's a month away!" Sometimes I forget that we're already in November0 -
3 pounds a week is doable, but I'm going to follow this thread as well to see how people recommend you do it.0

did you mean; .5 lbs per day? Cause 15 lbs divided by 30 days is.... .5 lbs per day, or 3.5 per week. Still doable - basically total strictness - no cheating. Good luck!!0 -
I would set your goal for 2-pound a week weight loss. Fitting in the dress comfortably is probably doable, but it's going to take serious dedication and hard work.
You'll need to start eating as clean as possible (avoiding ALL processed foods, ditch the beef for chicken) and drinking as much water as you can handle (12+ glasses a day.. just not all at once).
And you're going to need to hit the gym every day.
I'm in a biggest loser competition at my gym and people are losing 2-3 pounds a week no problem, but we're at the gym 6 days a week at least once a day, if not twice (for an hour or more) and eating around 1300 calories. It's some seriously hard work and time consuming.
Work your butt off and you can make it happen. Just don't quit after the wedding and gain all the weight back or it's pointless.0 -
Good luck with the weight loss. I would also suggest a pair of slimming pants if you don't manage to loose it all in the 30 days. I wear them on special occasions and they really do flatten the stomach and suck everything in a whole lot tighter.0

1200 cals/day diet, tons of cardio (sweat, sweat, SWEAT!), lots of water, and good sleep every night. Best of luck!0

^^This!!
You can get the dress later as a reward!!0 -
you guys are totally awesome!!! THANK YOU !! for those who still dont get why i have to do this, A) the dress is FREE (mom already paid) its red, not the most forgiving colour. lol0

Why is it always about the number on the scale when it comes to fitting into clothes?
If you want to fit into a dress, don't worry about the number of pounds. Worry about inches.0 -
Get an underbust corset you can wear under it and continue losing healthy weight.0
-
I agree with this... essentially you need a net calorie DEFICIT between 1300-1500, or something like that. That's a lot but not totally impossible. I'd recommend being more aggressive on the cardio. If you eat TOO little, you could sabotage your efforts by going into starvation.0
