Hey fellow boogaloo-ers!
I am doing great today! We had an awesome awesome time at church last night and the Lord gave us the confirmation we need to go forward with the adoption. I will post the story in my blog. It's the really condensed version and I am very tired this morning so I hope it makes sense! So I am very encouraged and feeling more fire today.
I did great yesterday as far as calories go. I went a little over the 1270 mark, but then after church we were hungry so we went out for ice cream. :noway: So I ended up not doing so hot. But I already lost two pounds this morning! Yes this morning, within about 30 minutes. I have lactose intolerance some times, and this morning my tummy was mad at me for eating ice cream last night. So I lost two pounds! (I tried to leave out the details there but I think you all get my drift. Um, I could so insert a smart comment or a joke right now. I'll leave you all to do that!) I will do better today...I think...I will try.
DH's battery was dead (in his car:tongue: ) this morning, so he jumped it and left anyway. Got to a job and it's dead again (duh!), so in an hour or two I will need to go get him. That means I need to get breakfast and get to the store before he needs me to do that!
So Today:
water
work out
get to the store!
work with Alex (we worked on C and D yesterday! Today is more D and E!)
clean up the house
Have a boogaloo day!
MM

So have you taught Alex that B starts words like Bear, Baby, and Boogaloo?

Started the video yesterday - after about 10 minutes my elbow and knee were hurting, so I stopped. I walked instead. Also rode bike to yoga.

I wish the weather would make up it's mind about Saturday. Right now it's a 30% chance of rain that morning and 60% chance that evening - which could mean, halfway through the ride it's starts pouring. The wind speed and high temperature are good though.

    Today: walking and yoga.

I read an article on yoga journal's web site that said you can stay fit with just yoga. A little bias, I would think, but I've been thinking about it since yesterday. I can see strength and flexibility, but I just can't see the cardio.

    Happy workouts!

    Hello everyone!
Well ... since I sunburned Sunday, it snowed Monday/Tuesday, it was cold yesterday and today it's sunny and warm I am very confused, however, I will be out walking a lot today so ... it's a good thing.

Doing good on food so far although I didn't get up for breakfast which is becoming a not so good habit. However, I made a better lunch choice than I have since I jumped off the wagon so ... that's good. My scale is still broken but I"m going to try to find time to fix it tonight.

    So goals for the day.

    Water
    Keep making those healthy choices!
    Get to the gym!
Catch up on reading that I'm about 2 classes behind in.

I've been toying with this idea lately. . .I will say that according to the HRM, my heart rate does spike in certain poses. (anything balancing where the head goes down, and also backbends). It's the only workout I do that does not tire me out completely. (although Bikram does, but it's a different kind of tired than hardcore cardio or strength training) I will say that some of the people at my yoga studio only do yoga and they have enviable bodies. Who can say where genetics ends and workouts begin, though?

But, for right now, still not working out. I do feel higher energy today. . .but I'm not pushing it until I get my bloodwork back (hopefully tomorrow).

    Take care, pebbles. :flowerforyou:

    Hi Everyone!

MM that is great news about the adoption!! Congratulations.

MWD I've wondered that myself, especially when you look at the yoga devotees of the world who seem to be super fit only doing yoga. I think for my personality though I need the balance of the more "aggro" cardio sweaty type of workouts combined with the "cleansing" yoga. Not that I don't get all sweaty and want to die sometimes during yoga too, but it's a different type of burn.

So here's a question for the group -- do you all track your sugars in your food diary? I'm over on sugars almost every day because of the fruit that I eat. I think it allots me something like 32g and I get that just from an orange and an apple. I'm going to take a week to see if I can stay under and see if that makes any difference.

I am not going to weigh myself for a while. I feel like I've been beating myself up a lot lately for having gained weight while on the ship and I dread stepping on the scale and seeing no change.

    Today is:
    TAXES
A yoga or core workout at the gym -- I'm on my bike and am only wearing flipflops so it will have to be something I can do in the studio in bare feet
    Drink lots of water

    Tax Day Boogaloooo!

Hi, Happy Easter (though if you are chrisitian this is not a happy day)

MM congrats on the adoption, I was adopted when I was five. If anyone knows a bit about adopted children.....you are really lucky if you are adopted after infancy, not many parents looking to adopt a child of five. I always tell my parents they are the lucky ones though!!!

V-glad the energy is coming back and hope the blood work is good.

yesterday we had an Easter gathering at work....and second day this week of cake in the office......well needless to say willpower did not win this time. not one......two peices of costco slab cake...oh yeah and 10 easter mini eggs.

All of those chores to prepare for Easter weekend, family coming over that I should have done last Sunday... I did before work/after work and this morning, so no time for formal workout and now I will have my Gramma over for the weekend so I doubt I'll be doing much.

    So goals for Easter weekend:

Log in all food as best I can...much guessing
    Hydrate

    Easter boogaloo,

    Anne
