what do you guys know about wheat germ? is it effective for cravings and weight loss? i want to know from those who have used it.

  • Well, I don't think of it as 'using ' it...I do eat it, try to get a tablespoon or two every day. It is a good source of selenium which is a micronutrient not contained in a whole lot of foods. It's delicious, I know that. Been eating it for years.

    I use it sometimes, but not for controling my appitite or weightloss. I used it for extra fiber when needed, lol. I haven't seen much help in controlling my craving though. I add it to yogurt, cereal and oatmeal.

    It was on Dr. Oz today and is suppose to be very good for weight loss.....at least that what he said.

    yeah, that's where i got it from. just wondering if it really helped in controlling sugar cravings like he said. just wondering.
  • I'm pretty sure I've read more than once that selenium is important for blood sugar control; controlling blood sugar should help a lot with cravings.
