Hi I am 23. I started at 265 my max was 272. I really want to do this. If anyone has tips. I would love to hear. People who have "done it" Can i hear your stories? I need as much motivation as i can get. Please

I just sent a friend request to you. A great tip-- get on this site every day. Have "friends"-- you will hear stories of accomplishments, struggles.. and great "aha" moments.. where things happen and start "clicking" for folks. I find a new tip on this site from my MFP friends daily. Also, read peoples food diary-- you will find lots of ideas of things to eat.
Also, take the time to make food ahead of time.. try to plan out your meals, snacks, etc. Have good/many choices in the house and on hand. That's enough tipping for now !! You will do great!0 -

My advice is to follow the plan on MFP. Log everything even if you go over and always eat 1200 calories. Eating less may make you lose weight fast for a few weeks but you will get stuck at some point or even gain if you continue to eat less than 1200 (Speaking from experience). Open your diary and get as many friends on here as you can to help you along your journey. I have requested you as a friend. ) Good Luck!0

Thanks I do need friends. I work around food and alot of people around me eat tons of fast food that is my weakness. And sweets0

My advice is to log before you eat. Log everything even if it makes you go over your calorie limit for the day.
Drink lots of water, I don't hold to the 64 oz. rule but drink as much as I can through the day and after 1 month of no soda am able to easily drink the 64 oz.
Get as many friends as possible to help encourage you.0 -
I can go without soda I have never really been a Soda drinker. Its other things. All i do is work and when i get off work i sit sand when i get bored i just want to eat. I have been good lately. I have been resisting the urge.0
