Discomfort Question

I was wondering if it's normal for bones to make being comfy difficult. I'm in the "healthy" weight range of 115 for 5'4 1/2 (it matters!) and I have so much discomfort. Sitting is uncomfy because my lack of bum(tmi, I know) and even sleeping is hard because of my ribs and spine.

I have the same problem, try to put on a little weight. That's what I'm doing... it shouldn't be uncomfortable.

Regardless of "healthy weight range" recommendations, if you can't sit comfortably then I think you might benefit from having some extra flesh covering those bones.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Yes, it hurts! it's all a matter of getting used to it. You will get used to it, really. Maybe you can take some nighttime excedrin or tylenol to help you sleep for a while. When I was thin before, I used to get actual bruises! I'll take the bruises just to be able to get back into my size 4s again.

Uhhhh getting bruises because you're too thin doesn't sound healthy to me.
  • Actually, my lower spine is a little bruised from my vertebrae against it. :/

I dunno, that just doesn't sound healthy at all. I'd probably ask your doctor about that and see what they recommend. I can't imagine getting bruises from being too thin, that would bug me!

5 feet 4 inches and 127 pounds is not too thin. Have been 235+ was too fat, and I got too used to the padding! I wasn't about to gain weight back on purpose after finally getting healthy after 25 years! Not to worry - my doc put me on some bad meds and I gained a bunch back, which is why I'm here now. Again - I'll take the bruises, but this time I'll try a different mattress. That one was extra-firm! LOL

    Cheers...

That doesn't sound too thin, but 115 at the same height sounds a bit on the low side.

I <3 my extra firm mattress! LOL.

I'd try a new matress or foam pad first. Also assume strength training will help. My triathlete son is 5% body fat and does not have this issue. My husband is only 8% body fat and does not have this issue.
