Taking measurements....

So my friend goes to Curves and they measured her and weighed her. I hear a lot of different comments on WHERE you put the tape measure when you're measuring your breast and hips. I figure the natural most-indented area is the waist. I HEARD you go down 9 inches from the waist and measure there - and I've heard you go to the BIGGEST portion around your butt.
Any ideas/input on this?

For my hips I measure the widest part around (which includes my butt).0

I measure myself every week. For the breasts I do it over my bra and do it in line with my nipples and through the middle of the back. The waist I do the natural indent as you say. and the hips I do it so the tape measure is is about 2 cm under my belly button. The bum I do it so the measure is around the biggest bit of the cheeks. I also do my upper arm, my calve and my chest (under the breasts). It really helps me to do this every week and I find it helps me more than weighing.0
