Been trying to lose weight for many months and still i cant budge passed 11 stone, I've tried every diet, every exercise and every food and to no avail, getting quite disappointed. I'm want to lose weight to give me more confidence, i really do hate having bigger boobs then my girlfriend, i hate people looking at me thinking to themselves he's fat. I'm come to the conclusion i would happily pay someone to slice the fat from my body i'm that depressed. I'm at a all time low at the moment. I just want some advice, help.
This is what I've tried so far:
Exercised more than i have ate,
Eaten the right amount have calories
Eaten fruit and veg instead of junk food,
Higher-ed the intensity of workouts
I've tried weights
Eaten 3 big meals
Eaten 6 small meals every 3 hours
Kept a journal of everything I've ate
Binned all fizzy drinks and junk food
Eaten breakfast everyday
Eaten hot spicy foods
Slept 8 hours every night
I've probably done more but at the moment i cant think of anymore.
Please someone tell me that there's a miracle which will make me lose weight again.

Others need to look at your diary to see what ya eating. I did not see where u drink tons of water...0

well just to let u know that stress actually causes the body to store fat..... try to destress ur life... and stop comparing urself to others.... but before u began to work on ur body ... maybe u need to work on ur mental state.... i hope all goes well for u...0

So it looks like you have tried all positive things....how long did you stick with it? Honestly? I have to say it has taken me almost 6 weeks of consistently execising AND eating right in combination to START seeing my scale move. I have lost inches, but only a small amount of weight at this point. It definately takes being consistent, being patient, and being determined! Have you seen a Dr for a physical...maybe you have some thyroid issues or something else going on that are causing you to have a more challenging time losing. Good luck....it can be done!0

I dont like to give advice, but I will tell you that MFP works!
I haven't missed a day since March 23, 2011. I don't measure my food, but I'm honest about what I do eat daily and I rarely go over my daily calorie goal. If it goes in my mouth, it goes in my diary.
There is a mental aspect to this, too. You have to really want it. Stick with this (eat right and exercise) and you will be surprised!
You can do it!!! :happy:0 -
I haven't lost a ounce for a month or so but have dropped 3 jean sizes.
so it is not always about a scale. you may be building muscle tone.
and yes lots of water.and if your not eating enough the body will store fat.
It could be many things just don't give up!0 -
For some reason, my first attempt to reply didn't take. I reposted and it showed up.

You are doing everything right it seems except for enjoying yourself.
Relax take a step back. You have tried many things which is great, I admire how you have given it all a go.
Now make a list of what you most felt best with. What style of eating suited you and your life style. Have you found an exercise that you can really enjoy and look forward to doing. Don't worry about the big numbers you will see others losing some of us just dont seem to move it like that. I'm a 300gram a week if I'm lucky person. Thats just over 1/2 a pound a week. Slow is ok.
Try and include this as a life style change so its not a diet that becomes a task.
Go back to baby steps and refresh yourself. The little things like gettting off the bus a stop early, or parking futher away, take the stairs etc. Continue to chose the fruit and vege etc, but have a treat now and then.
You have learnt so much from your past experiences, use your knowledge now to your best advantage.
YOU CAN DO THIS AND BE A BETTER HEALTHIER PERSON WHO WILL HAVE LOTS TO SHARE WITH OTHERS.0 -

I recently changed my workout routine because I was losing too much fat! Which is quite hard for me to do usually ..
In short don't have too few calories, otherwise your body will go into starvation mode and become more efficient in storing fat, oh and keep your protein high to allow for muscle repair etc when doing this program.
I was training with a one on one off routine. Which went like this ..
Day 1 - Legs / Back / Biceps
Day 2 - Rest
Day 3 - Chest / Shoulders / Triceps
Day 4 - Rest
Day 5 - Repeat
The secret came from reps and rest time. I would train 2 exercises per body part, and around 4 sets on each exercise, and around 5-10 reps per set, however I started dropping my resting time to a ** maximum of 20 seconds **. (Of course you have to use less weight because your strength levels drop / quickly burn out). After the weights session, I would go on the climber for 15 minutes.
Within around two weeks, everyone was commenting on how much weight I lost. I was becoming very lean and ripped from this way of training, however that's not my goal so had to start adding more rest!
As I understand it, my workout was more of a cardio workout, but also had an 'afterburn' effect, there is a lot of information on the internet about this, basically your body is unable to burn fat because of the intensity so it uses energy from the muscles, which post workout your body replenishes, which in turn causes your bodys metabolism to be faster than it would usually be (up to 48 hours?)
Honestly, I am not sure of the science, all I know is that by reducing the rest times to a max of 20 seconds, my body was burning fat a fast pace!
* Note, it is not an ideal training routine for bodybuilders, because it doesn't allow for a good strength gains / muscle mass, however it does maintain muscle, and appears to help with muscle endurance.
Eating properly is key though, too little good calories, and you would quickly overtrain!
If you require any further information, I would be happy to help.
All I know is that this is the only way I have ever dropped fat so quickly and healthly, and I felt very energetic and good. It is of note that I was not counting calories at this time and prabably did eat a lot of junk too!
