Cleaning Polar FT4?

For those of you who use a Polar FT4 heart rate monitor, how do you clean the chest strap? Is it ok to put it in the washer? What about the dryer? Thanks!

if you download the ft4 manual it says to wash it in a machine every so often link here

I just hand wash it in the sink.. hang dry.0

I have a FT40 and just rinse it really well after every use. I haven't had it too long, so will have to wash it at some point. I will put it in a delicates washing bag so it won't get stretched or overly twisted. I do this with my boxing hand wraps as well.0

Thanks! I just threw it in the wash in a lingerie bag and will hang dry it. Hope it still works tomorrow!0
