non-weight baring cardio workouts

Options
Hi Everyone,

I've recently undergone acl/meniscus surgery and am just starting to get back into working out again. My big problem is that I've always loved cardio (running, aerobics, elliptical, rowing) but I'm finding that the impact, even if it is low, aggrivates my knee after a short while.

I was wondering if anyone had any good workouts that limited the impact/weight baring, but still got your heart rate up and blood pumping. Any feedback and suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks for your help everyone :)

Jaimie

How making up a routine of Boxing Punches?

Sit up very straight on the edge of a chair, tighten your abs and give it all you got!

how about shadow boxing? It is a great upper body workout without any impact on your legs. I add hand weights as well. Best of luck on your recovery and on your weight loss journey :)

thank you so much to everyone! I had never thought of punching/boxing workouts. Swimming is something that I can do, but unfortunately I dont have easy access to a pool :( Great option though!

All the best to you all!
