Hi all,
It's going to be raining here for most of the week, and I usually go on a walk for my exercise. Do any of you have any ideas of home exercises that I can do?
I already do stationary bike, weights, crunches/sit ups, push ups, cleaning, etc.
Thanks!

If you have netflix, there's lots of fitness videos you can get on there. Also, exercise TV is nice.

M100's, I do this with a 20lbs weighted vest. I do these at home, in the hotel room, wherever you have room and 10-20 mins.

Yup, Zusanna and Freddy are awesome! It's sad to hear that they have seperated though0

P90X. You will need to buy weights. If that can not be done, then 4 quadrant ab routine, pushups and leg squats.0

I exercised with a personal trainer at my home for quite some time. She showed me lots of things to do at home that are low impact and perfect for yucky weather.
Use a chair/sofa/coffee table for tricep dips --> http://www.fitsugar.com/How-Do-Triceps-Dips-1055754
Lunges are great for your legs --> http://exercise.about.com/od/lowerbodyworkouts/ss/lunges.htm
Sit ups/crunches - I do them in 30 second bursts, you can increase/decrease as you need to --> http://www.ab-core-and-stomach-exercises.com/how-to-do-crunches.html
Jump squats are great for your core --> http://www.fitsugar.com/How-Do-Jump-Squats-994573
Push Ups are a must-do --> http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/types-of-push-ups-464.html
Pretty much anything you can do to keep your muscles tense for any amount of time is a workout. I was able to do an hour a day off of the basics she gave me in an indoor workout in my living room. Just try different types of exercises you already know how to do. No DVD's to buy, no equipment necessary (can always add weights if you want to make it more difficult - but can also just increase your reps or time).0 -
if u have cable ...they have the Exercise TV on demand too ...i love Leslie Sansone, she does walks 1 mile 2 mile etc...I have downloaded some off the exercisetv.tv website too $2.990

Yep! Make sure to check the video time. Some of them are more like clips at 3 minutes, but you can get a full 20 minute video if you look. I like the ***** Cat Dolls dance video (yes, I know that is pathetic) and Beach Body workouts. PopPilates is good, too.0 -
I'm a big fan of throwing on my mp player and just dancing around. I usually burn anywhere from 250-300 calories (I use an HRM) in a half hour, and it's kind of fun0

It is! I didn't realize how much I really loved them and relied on them until I read that post about breaking up. I surprised myself with how upset I got over it =( But life moves on...and I like Jess and Sean. Guest hosts are a good way to keep the site going strong, the workouts are still great, and it's motivating to see them struggling through those things like I do haha.
But yes, bodyrock.tv. It's amazing.0 -
Look up excerising videos on youtube, or JM's on youtube0

This thread is great info...I will have to check out these sites at home tonight.0

My exercise has only ever been AT or near the home:
* Walking
* Weights (I've used 2-3l water bottles for 2-3kg weights)
* Yoga / Stretching / Pilates, etc
Also available
* Wii
* Stairs
* DVD is good if motivation an issue, cable or TV is good if there aren't distractions (read: ADs, or the silly remote control - more of an issue for myself, being a male suffering from CCC - compulsive channel changing)0 -

Does Netflix in Canada have them? Or just the states, if you know?0 -
Your local library probably has a whole bunch of workout / cardio / step / whatever DVD's, just waiting on the shelf for you to check them out.
Do you own a jump rope? That's a great cardio workout.0 -
I like to yodel. Did you know that yodeling can burn about 250 calories an hour? You have to yodel loud and hard though.0

Exercise TV (Free On Demand) and Zumba on YouTube. I love both!0

My personal favorite is the 12 oz. curl. Helps work the abs and arms all at once.0

Yup, Zusanna and Freddy are awesome!
I put in my vote for Bodyrock.tv as the BEST FREE home workout!!0 -

Interval training! 1 minute of cardio (jump rope, jumping jacks, run in place) and then 1 minute of weights. Do this for 30 minutes. It is a great workout.0
