Man. I don't even know what that could be made of. Sorry I can't help but I hope you find it.0 -
I've made seitan sausages before and it's super easy. Here's a hot dog version I found:

Oh, and if you steam them they'll come out moister (same length of time).0 -
Have you heard of Quorn? I think they sell it in US. I love the stuff it tastes great and I believe that most of it is soy free. Not sure what products they sell there as it is different in each country.0

Quorn is made from a fungus - so one might have allergy problems with it as well.0 -
Have you considered a carrot dog?, lots of recipes on the net.0

That actually sounds good but wouldn't satisfy a hot dog craving I don't think. I love hot dogs. As a kid I hated hamburgers (yeah, I'm weird like that) so I'd eat a hot dog instead. :-)0 -
There is one by Fieldroast and most Whole Foods carry them. Look by the daiya cheese. They have hotdogs and italian sausage and they are really good!
I am a soy-free vegan and it made my day :-)

Field Roast is yummy. They have sausages, not sure about hot dogs.0
-
They do have hot dogs! Really really good ones and sold in most us whole foods.0

I second the Field Roast Frankfurters-- they are remarkably hot-doggie in flavor--but do be aware, Field Roast products are very delicious, very pricey and *very* filling. One seitan frank on a bun has far more cals than a regular soy dog.
But I guess cravings are worth the cost... Enjoy!0 -
