Hi all, my name is Tamie. I love Zumba but right now am only able to make it to a class one day a week. I was just wondering if anyone own's the DVD's and if you think they are worth getting it? It is something I would like to do more than just once a week.

Me too! I'd love to get the DVD's if they're as much fun as the class.0

Hello!! I have the wii Zumba & both sets of the Zumba DVDs they have sold on TV I think they are a great investment they are a great workout and they are fun to do I would recommend them to everyone0

I have the DVD set too, but I really don't think they are that exciting or worth the money. I don't think they are as good as the class. I woudn't buy it over again. I used my other workout DVD more than the Zumba DVD. Just not worth it in my opinion.0

I wouldn't spend the money on the set. I ripped a copy of the set from a friend who had it.0

I have the DVD's and the weights that came with the set. It is amazing! I definately got my money's worth (but it was a christmas present). I love it and it really works b/c you can go longer if you wanted and they have different ones in the set (sculpt and tone, abs, cardio, basic, 20 minute express, and a few others). It's a great buy get it if you can, I think my mother got it for me from amazon.0

I am a Zumba instructor. I have the new set of DVDs and I think they are nice, when you cannot attend a live class. However, for me, a live class is best, followed by the video game and last the videos. I love the videos and even use some choreography in class. I think the reason they fall last in my list is because there is great energy in a live class, the video game rates your performance and neither of that is true for the DVDs. So I seem to work harder in the class or with the video game. Could just be me. Any Zumba is awesome, though!!
To sum it up, yes they are fun and I would recommend them but I do feel the results are better in an actual class.0 -
I have the Zumba fitness dvd set, but have not been to any classes. I like the music and the concept of combining excercise with dance. With the discs you can go at your own pace - with no guilt or embarrasment if you can't keep up with the entire workout. It was worth the purchase for me.0

well in my opinion it is worth the money. u dont feel bored or stupid doing them. they get you pumped up from the amazing music to the awesome moves that are not only dance but a workout.
wow nothing like it and honesty y rip off money from piracy which is illegal because you cant spend the money because wow i guess its free loading idk that is how i see it. not trying to be rude but when people have everything handed to them its a bit annoying to me. thats my opinion0 -
I own ALL the Zumba DVD's. I love them!! How many calories you burn depends on the routine, so I recomend the Exhilarate set. Since I use an HRM, I can tell you that the Rush, Exhilarate, Zumba Concert and Activate are the best ones for burning calories.
Per my HRM, I burn as much calories with the DVD's as I do in my Zumba class at the gym, it's just a matter of giving it all you've got.0 -
I have not been to any classes so i'm not sure how they are but for me the DVD sets that I have give me a great workout, I sweat, & I have fun..0

I definitely don't use the DVD set... it's pretty boring, but a good way to learn some of the moves.0

I just got the same set as a gift and I just tried the cardio party today and loved it! I don't have a gym membership so I just use workout dvds and I thought it was great! Looking forward add the other zumba dvd's to my collection!0 -

I have the first DVD set that came out and I absolutely love it!!! My mom loves to do it with me as well. My favorite disc is the Zumba Live and the Zumba 20 Minute Express (which I do twice). The Zumba Abs is pretty good as well!!! I also sweat like crazy! I have never taken a class before and thought about taking one. I think the DVD's were a good investment and I do them like 3 times a week. You will really enjoy it if you like to dance, which I do. ;-) Good luck on whatever you decide.0

Thank you so much everyone for giving me such good advice and comments to think about. My mom used to love to dance and I hope that she will join me one day. Unfortunately she isn't ready to take the step of going to a Zumba class. With much consideration, I will keep going to my one Zumba class a week and fill it up with the Wii Zumba my husband just bought me. It was super fun to do it with my daughter last night. Merry Christmas too me...here is hoping I get the DVD's as a present. I love the class workouts but would love to do more and this unfortunately, will be the only way I can. Thank you all so much for your opinions you gave me and my husband tons to think about! You all rock Happy Dancing.
